Soon, he drags you to some place once again.
"Guess what? I forgot to tell you," he starts to say. "Ever since we retrieved the Pearl gemstone from the Birch Ghost, the temple has started to gain a lot of energy. The mass of energy caused this portal to form, just out of nowhere. And, the best part is, I think it leads to Cornelius's cave."
You smile at the thought of the temple gaining its energy back. "So, should we enter the portal?" you ask. Ronan nods, but you can tell he is uneasy. After all, you have no idea what Cornelius is like.
You step through the portal, and feel yourself flashing through Warpspace. But in no time, you appear in the cave. Luckily, the large crocodile Alpha is still sleeping. You know that you must be careful.
It seems hard not to marvel at the cave- Cornelius is sleeping on neatly assorted moss and there are large pools of water everywhere. A small natural fountain of rocks and algae is sending water pouring from it's sides into the ponds. The only sound in the room is breathing and the trickle of water.
Suddenly, Cornelius opens a turquoise blue eye. As he sees you, he immediately jumps up and points one of his dual swords at your neck. "Who are you?" he asks in a deep, threatening voice, pausing between each word. Even though you are in a deadly situation, you can't help but stare at the crocodile's extremely large claws, each about 4 inches long. You and Ronan remain silent for a moment, until the crocodile bellows even louder. "WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"
What do you do?
"We've come to look for a gemstone to help Mira's Temple revive." I say. "I'm Blossom, a tiger." I use my tail to point to Ronan. "He's Ronan, Graham's son."
ReplyDelete"Ah, I've heard of you, Ronan" he says, looking at him. "Well, I may give the gemstone, but you must do a task for me. Gather 1 pound of Phantom Dust. I will warn you, don't breathe it in."
Delete"Uhm.. okay. Mhm I got this." I say, then run straight to the path that leads to the Phantom Hive. One I'm there, I realize that my life could be in risk. My eyes widen as I see the Hive looming over me. I take one step in, and I see some black, sticky thing on my paw.. but it's definitely not Phantom Goop.
DeleteThe goop opens and eye and then hisses at you. Even though you try to shake it off, it grasps your leg firmly. You continue walking but then start to feel weak.
Delete"You know, at some point in your life someone's gonna step on your eye," I mutter to the phantom goop. "You know, you're not making anyone's life easier right-" Before I finish, I see little purple-black specks. It must be phantom dust! I quickly scoop up as much as the dust I can, but it's nowhere near close to a pound.
DeleteJust as you start to move forward, you feel very frail. You see the phantom on your leg. "Oh dear," Ronan says. "I know we got some phantom dust but... You don't look so good." He scraped the phantom off of your leg. You still didn't feel too good.
Delete"I'm fine." I say stubbornly. I feel queasy, but don't admit it. I notice more phantom dust- no, a LOT! I start racing towards it even through my queasiness. But then I slip, my face right in front of the phantom dust. I did not dare to breathe in.
Delete:Jumps through the portal and see's Blossom with her face in the phantom dust. Ronan is watching her uneasily: "Umm... Is everything okay?" I ask. Then I spot Corneilus staring at me and step back toward the portal.
Delete"Oh good, we found some. Now let's dash before the phantoms come!" Ronan said as he picked up the phantom dust. "Wait- Blossom...?"
DeleteI get up- slowly- tempted to breathe. I quickly grab the phantom dust, and with my face away from the phantom dust, I breathe in.
Delete"Is that a pound yet?" I ask Ronan.
I turn to Blossom. "Are you okay?" I ask. Then I turn to Ronan and say, "What is going on?"
Delete"I think we need two more ounces. But you look terrible, You're all pale! Do you think he'll notice if it's not exact?"
Delete"No, he might get mad if he notices." I say, and remember the screech of anger the Birch Ghost had released, then shuddered. "It's too risky. He might get angry." I repeat, and start searching for the rest of the phantom dust.
Delete"N- no really..." Ronan says, shakily. You suddenly notice a phantom on his leg. Before you can do anything, Ronan falls to his knees and collapses.
DeleteI gasp, my vision starting to blur. I start dragging Ronan outside, some phantom dust clinging to my tail. Once I get outside with Ronan, I feel as if I am about to die, but I somehow know I won't.
DeleteRonan just lies on the ground being dragged, just making weird moaning noises. Once you reach Cornelius, he gives you an antidote. But even with help, Ronan seems doesn't seem to get better. When Cornelius receives the phantom dust, he LUCKILY doesn't notice the lack of a few ounces.
Delete"Woah- OOF!" I yell, as I hit the ground after going through the portal. In no time, i'm back on my feet. "Hello, everyone!"
Delete"Cornelius, could I borrow a map really quickly?" I ask, my voice hoarse as I feel even more queasy.
DeleteI turn and look at Blossom, picking bits of grass out of my wing feathers. "You don't sound so good. Are you okay?"
DeleteCornelius looked at you. "Why would you need a map?" he asked.
Delete"I need to take Ronan to the Medical Center!"
Delete"Well, I have no map. Be on your way, peasants." Cornelius said snottily.
DeleteMy neck fur instantly spiked up.
Delete"Peasants? PEASANTS??????????????????" I screeched. I sliced the bag of phantom dust, and half of it instantly fell out.
Cornelius looked at you, and his pupils narrowed into slits. He slowly walked over to the phantom dust, as if he wished to appear calm and serene. But that feeling ended soon. Angrily, he picked up some of the dust and threw it at your face.
DeleteI swiftly dodge it, but some of it gets caught on my ear fur.
Delete"For an alpha, I would think you would be less childish and not throwing dirt around!" I retorted. I darted around Cornelius, instantly forgetting my queasiness. As he is turning around, I spread my wings and flap into the air, holding half of the phantom dust.
"Gah, you have legendary wings! If you shall act this way, I will never give the birthstone! If anything I-" Cornelius said, interrupted by Ronan.
DeleteRonan had his Sword at Cornelius's neck. "Not another work of trickery, Cornelius."
I glanced at the gemstone at the other side of the den, and then Ronan and Cornelius.
DeleteI just stood there, quietly flapping my wings. "What are you waiting for?!" I said to myself in my head. I dove toward the gemstone, and grabbed it (still holding the phantom dust).
Cornelius looked at you. Just... stared. It seemed somewhat unnaturally quiet. "I thought you were worthy of the gemstone... Apparently you are just lowly thieves. Take the gemstone, just leave me be. If you leave, you shall leave in guilt and shallow feelings."
Delete"You're not worthy either! Alphas are supposed to HELP residents of Jamaa! You could've given us the gemstone without anything in return! It wasn't even for OURSELVES. It's for MIRA'S TEMPLE!" I spat.
Delete"I WOULD LIKE THE OTHER ALPHAS MORE IF THEY DIDN'T ACT LIKE I WAS INVISIBLE!" he roared.
DeleteI instantly stopped, and dropped the gemstone. It hit the hard ground with a soft "clink!".
Delete"I didn't know.. I'm so sorry." I picked up the gemstone, and handed it to Cornelius.
"We could be friends."

Delete"Sure. I guess I COULD give the gemstone." he said, handing it over.
"Really? Thanks!" I said, smiling. "Thank you so much!!" I repeated.

Delete"Whoa. Well, a deal's a deal, I guess. Off to fight phantoms!" I said, running off to a few phantom sighting locations.
DeleteRonan followed you, then suggested something. "Hey, I know we need phantom dust, but I don't wanna fight anything right now. I do know another way to get the dust, though. Phantoms will sometimes shed their skin, and it eventually turns to phantom dust after rotting."
Delete''Sorry to bother you'' I say cautiously. ''I'm Thalia the wolf, and this is Ronen the monkey.'' I said, my voice echoing throughout the cave. ''We have come here to take the sapphire gemstone to help strengthen the temple.'' I explained.

Delete''Of course'' I said. Ronan just nodded. We headed out on a path that led to the phantom hive. ''Do you have any boom seeds Ronan?'' I asked. ''No. Would you like me to get some from my den?'' he said. ''Yes, we need some protection from any phantoms.'' i answered. He flicked his tail and darted off quickly to his den. I sat down and waited on the path. A few minutes later Ronan came back with a sack full of seeds. Ronan opened his had to reveal a small bag. ''Whats that for?'' I asked. ''Don't we need something to hold the dust in Thalia?'' he said humorously. I blushed, I didn't really think of that. ''Lets keep going.'' I muttered. A half an hour passed until we finally got to the entrance to the cave. We walked in and the darkness swallowed us. We both looked around. The ceiling soared above our heads. The walls glowed oddly. Phantom goop dripped from the ceiling, But there were absolutely no phantoms in sight, yet. We walked deeper into the fortress. ''Look around on the floor, there might be some dust.'' I said. ''No, not now. It will be easier to find alot once we get deeper.'' he said. We walked a bit father in. ''We are really deep'' Ronan said. Suddenly, we heard a bunch of scuttles. Phantoms appeared to be surrounding us. ''THROW THE BOOM SEEDS!'' I yowled. He took out four and threw them in all four direction. ''Get down!!" He ordered. We laid on the ground and covered our head with our paws. Then, suddleny we heard a ''BOOM!!" and the phantoms were destroyed. We stood up and looked around. Phantom dust was all over the place. We gathered it all up and dumped it into the bag. ''This is way over a pound.'' Ronan said joyfully. ''Great!'' I said. We ran back to the entrance, and out into the evening sky. ''Wpw, we have been in there for a long time'' he said. ''Lets head back to Cornelius cave.'' I said. To be continued......

DeleteWe stepped into his cave, our eyes adjusting to the dim light. Cornelius opened his eye and his eyes fell on our bag of phantom dust. He got up, walked to us and snatched up the bag. Me and Ronan stood very still, afraid that he would rage for some reason. Cornelius weighed the bag in his hand thoughtfully. "Congrats, you can have the gem now." he rasped. He padded to the gem lying on the floor and grabbed it. "Uh T-thank you." I said surprised of his easy going attitude. He gave me the gem and nodded. "Use this well" he said. "We will." me and Ronan said at the same moment. Cornelius snapped his fingers and everything went black as we went through Warpspace. We opened our eyes to the temple. "We did it!" Ronan said cheerfully. I nodded and set the gemstone in its rightful place. The hum of power grew stronger.
Delete"I am Myst. I'm deeply sorry that i have intruded. We need the sapphire gemstone to restore a temple of Mira's." Myst explained.

DeleteMyst went off to the latest site of phantoms. "I have you now, phantoms." She used her Emerald necklace to turn the surroundings negative. She then tossed boomseeds at the phantoms. "Jackpot! This looks like one pound!" She pulled a scale to weigh it. "Time to get the sapphire birthstone" Myst smiled.
Delete"I brought a pund of phantom dust." Myst placed a vial of the phantom dust down.
"Good. Here is your gemstone." he said.

ReplyDelete"Cornelius, I'm sorry. My name is Wish. This is Ronan. We need the gemstone to revive a temple."explained Wish.
"Hmm, well you can have my gemstone if you do a task for me. You will need to collect one pound of phantom dust."
DeleteWish spotted some phantom dust just sitting there, and Wish collected some, with a mask on her mouth and a bag. The dust was gone by moonrise, the bag holding exactly one pound of phantom dust. She and Ronan returned to Cornelius to see if he was going to give the gemstone in return for this phantom dust. Before they could even get to Cornelius, Wish felt sick. "What's happening to me?" asked Wish, and her body collapsed.

DeleteWish woke up, "Oh, right, I'm allergic to Phantom dust. Here, let's use my birthstone necklace to fly for a minute." The necklace let Wish and Ronan fly, but a minute passed and they were STILL not at Cornelius. "Ronan, I think this is near Phantom Territory......" said Wish, and there was a little clan of phantoms at their paws.
"Oh dear. We have to fight them." Ronan said, drawing his sword.

Romana guided you to the phantom hive. "Even though I've been here many times, it still gives me the creeps."

DeleteSrry wasn't on yesterday. Well anyway. Some phantoms immediately noticed me. I quickly put a bandanna over my beak and scooped the dust up as quickly as I could into a make-shift bag. There were still some oz. left
DeleteI quickly disguised myself and Ronan as phantoms and jumped into the portal with Ronan behind my feathers. Cornelius, not noticing the missing ounces gave us the sapphire gemstone and we kindly thanked him

DeleteWhisper glanced up and saw the phantoms. She quickly chomped the nearest one and scratched another. She saw the ones she had attacked turn to dust. Quickly she started chomping and clawing the other ones
Delete"Why hello, Sir Cornelius," Rainbow said, trying to sound confident. "You are an Alpha/shaman, am I right? Do please understand that you can help save a temple! A few spirits/lives!"

Delete"Mira's Temple. I don't really know about it, but I guess Ronan could elaborate more," Rainbow said, starting to get a little nervous. A Alpha/Shaman that doesn't know about Mira's Temple made her feel queasy.

"Hmm, well.... I'll give it to you if you can collect one pound of phantom dust for me. Deal or no deal?"
Delete"Err, okay, if I guess Ronan is okay with that," Rainbow replied. "If it's no trick..."
