Journey #2: The Temple

Hey Jammers! The last roleplay went well, but I would suggest reading specifically how the battle works in the Instructions. Anybody who fought the phantoms still got their two phantom blessings as promised, but yeah. Thanks :3

As one day you walk alongside a lake that runs through Jamaa, you hear somebody calling to you. You strain the hear the voice, until you recognize that the voice belongs to nonetheless but... Ronan! You can see his figure running towards you through the early morning fog. As he approaches you, he tells you all about how his father wants you and him to investigate a long forgotten temple. "You see, the temple used to be thriving with all sorts of animals from Jamaa. Mira ruled over the temple at that time, and shrouded happiness and serenity over every single jammer. The era at the time was perfect. But soon after, the Great Phantom Invasion occurred. The temple was evacuated, and forgotten in time. But we can investigate!" he said. "Plus, my dad said there might be treasure"

With an exciting adventure offered to you, you follow him to the temple. It looks very worn down and empty from the outside. But as you start to go inside, you see 4 trees on the entrance. "These are really cool trees. Surprised they're still here today. This is quite an entrance to a temple!" Ronan said.

On the inside of the temple, you see a   throne that Mira probably used back in the "perfect era." But now, it was just a worn down throne that was so overgrown that it literally had dandelions growing on it. You decide to investigate downstairs.

You walk down the stairs to see a wonderful display of ancient alpha statues surrounding a Zios statue. Nobody but you, Ronan, and a few other Jamaasians would fully appreciate this display. Nobody else knows how much it really means. This seems to spark so much joy in you! Ronan smiles at you, and then back at the statues. "This is amazing..." He says. "Let's go investigate more."

You walk up another floor, and notice a bunch of glowing alpha statues, much larger than the ones you saw before. But this time, these are only the six main alphas. Ronan tries his hardest to move them, but they don't budge. Their glowing gaze almost seems to tell you: "We will not move under any circumstances." You continue walking up the temple.

After walking past some vines, you finally see the treasure! But then you and Ronan realize... Did you only come here for the treasure? There is so much more here... And the history seems to be better than the riches.

What will YOU do? Choose weather you will take the treasure, which will contain two phantom blessings, or investigate the glowing alpha statues more, and get no reward?

  1. I decide to ignore the treasure, and investigate the Alpha Statues. (What do I do next? XD)

    1. Ronan tries his best to move away the statues, but his efforts appear useless. "Wanna try, Blossom?" You try your hardest to move it, but it seems impossible. "I know!" Ronan holds up his Topaz Birthstone Necklace, which gives him extra strength. You and Ronan both work to together for about 30 minutes to move all of the statues. When you walk inside the hidden room, you notice a display which only has one crystal on it. It appears to once have held more crystals. In the corner of the room, is an orb which is growing very faintly, almost like a dying ember.

    2. "What's that?" I ask, nodding my head toward the faintly glowing orb. I take one curious step toward it.

    3. "I think I have a logical explanation that I can support with excellent background knowledge. When the Great Phantom Invasion happened, they took all of the crystals on this display. All except for one, which keeps this Soul Orb alive. And I bet the other crystals are scattered around Jamaa." Ronan replied.

    4. "Should we look for them? Maybe Jamaa would be a better place if we brought all the crystals back.."

    5. "First we should probably report to my dad. Then maybe we could. But also, I must tell you... if this Soul Orb fades then all of the energy that if left in this place will disappear. The glowing alpha statues will turn to stone"

    6. "We should tell him. But what're we gonna do once we tell him?"

    7. "Well, we'll probably wait for a while until we start searching for the first crystal. But for now, let's just go see my dad." Ronan said as you walked home.

ADVENTURE COMPLETE (just wait, you'll see what happens after a while)

  2. I decide, as I never had any use for them, to not try to get any Phantom Blessings. Instead, I continue to look at the statues. I notice the candle on the Cosmo statue's cane is glowing, almost with something.. I can't remember what it's called. I look up in my Jamaasian Lore Handbook, and.. "Apparently, it's glowing something alike a "spirit flame", let's check it out!" I say. I try to touch it, but something almost.. Blocks me, is that a good word? I keep trying to budge the statues, and see something akin to a face in the candle.

    1. I use my Topaz Birthstone Necklace to give me extra strength, and I move the statues out of the way. "Whoa, cool! There's a whole secret room in here!"

    2. 'Wow!" I exclaim. I come in, and see a few Phantoms floating in black goop. "It seems to be a Phantology room, which is the forbidden study of Phantoms." (I wonder if this place is Greely's?) I think.

    3. "Hmm, maybe... but look at this!" Ronan exclaimed. "There's a display that looked like it used to have crystals. There is only one left, and I bet that it is the only thing that keeps the energy in the temple alive. If the crystal is destroyed or lost, then the temple will be meaningless, and forgotten in history."

    4. "Let's find the other ones!" I yelled. We ran down into the dungeon.

    5. "Whoa hold on." Ronan said. "We should probably tell my dad first. Besides, the other crystals are probably scattered across Jamaa."

    6. "Ah.. Heh heh. Well then, let's go report to Grahm." I said. \Not the only thing we have to do, is it?\ a little voice nagged in my head. "Stop it!' I said, and Ronan said "What?". I replied "Nothing, just.. Thinking."

    7. He then ran back to his father's house to report to his father. Ronan seemed happy to find the temple.

      Mission complete.

    1. You go downstairs to look at the statues again. Ronan tries to move them, but his efforts appear useless. He uses his necklace to give him extra strength and he moves the statues. "Wow, come in here, there's a whole secret room!"

    2. "Wow a secret room... Neat!" Myst looks around the secret room, checking it out.

    3. Ronan makes a few assumptions of what the room might've been used for, when he sees a display. "Whoa!" he shouts. "This is wonderful! Yet... so sad. See that crystal over there? That must be the only thing that keeps this place alive... Well, alive with energy, I mean." He pointed to a blue orb that was very faded. "I bet that if the only crystal on the display is destroyed, then that orb will die... and this temple will be meaningless and forgotten in history."

  4. Wyndra studies treasure, decides its not worth it and creates a massive crane to lift all the glowing alpha statues and sees a secret room with tons of phantom blessings. "Cool!" she says. And around the treasure was a vast glowing mira statue which took hours to lug backto Wyndra's den. :P

    1. (Well, how about let's just hold our horses. No free phantom blessings ^-^. Sorry... it's just that I decide if you get phantom blessings or not.)

Anyways, as you and Ronan walk into the room, Ronan sees an odd display with only one crystal on it. To the side is an orb, which is very faded. "Oh dear..." he says, falling to his knees. "If that one crystal on the display is broken or lost, then all energy from this temple will be gone. This temple will be forgotten in history..."

Wish decided treasure. She opened the treasure and left. Just as Wish left said "Hey, we should go check out those statues... but we should also keep this treasure."

    2. Without thinking, Gila butted her way towards the statues and pushed with all her mite in an attempt to assist Ronan. She growled slightly as sweat dripped into the slits on her mask, but those hard feelings drifted away when she saw the statues budge slightly.

    3. As they budged, you suddenly noticed them be pushed without effort to the side. Ronan held up his Topaz birthstone necklace. "Works every time." he chuckled.

  9. "Treasures! I can't pick, the treasure of mysteries and history or the treasure of wealth. I guess History goes first," said Rainbow. "C'mon, Ronan. Can you please help?"

The pegasus tried to push the statues, but it was all in vain. "I guess I'm just too limp," panted Rainbow.
