Adventure #7

(Note: I don't have the new birthstone YET, but I had an urge to write this anyways. Also, there may be some kind of religious offense because we mention "spirits" in this. We mean no harm in this.)

You walk around, trying to fight the boredom. You're with all the other jammers who know Ronan. "What to do, what to do..." you mutter. Across the room you are sitting in, one of the eagles just flies around in hopeless circles. "What are we doing here anyway?" somebody asked. Nobody replied. You couldn't tell if they didn't know, or if they were in such a bad mood that they didn't want to answer.

And then suddenly, the center of the room burst into about 50 purple, liquid butterflies. They flew about halfway across the room, then shimmered into nothingness. But then Peck stood in the middle.

"Welcome!" she bellowed. "So, I know you guys have been waiting OH SO patiently. And, now I have a surprise! So, don't worry, this is only temporary, but Sir Gilbert has asked that I turn you all into Elemental Spirits! YOU get to choose your element. But first, here are some things to know about spirits:
.They cannot be seen by normal individuals.
.They cannot move objects.
.They can fly.
.They can give jammers courage, swiftness, or intelligence.
.They can control energy (such as electricity or even personal stamina). But physical electricity can only be controlled through a contained matter, such as through light bulbs.

That's really all you need to know. Sir Gilbert says that all this isn't for a mission or anything important, really, but he just wants to see what you learn. When you're ready to be turned into normal individuals again, flickers my light bulb on and off three times." she said, pointing to the light bulb overhead.

You all nodded, and she turned you all into elemental spirits (you get to choose your element).
"So, what should we do first?" you asked. They all thought for a moment, until somebody suggested that they watch Ronan. After all, he had stayed home today. After everybody agreed, you all flew there.

You could only watch.
--------------------------------------

Ronan heard his father playing solitare with himself. But that didn't matter. Ronan turned around and worked on his new invention again. He had no idea what he was even making, but he just thought it should prove useful sometime. But then he heard a knock on the door. "Don't bother," he thought to himself. "My dad will just answer the door." Yet, Ronan couldn't help but eavesdrop. He strained his ears to listen.

A slight "creeeak" indicated that the door had been opened.
"Hello." said a fox at the door. "We have news."
Ronan listened even more carefully.
"Graham... We have found your wife."
He looked up immediately. With a look of shock on his face, Ronan rushed over to the door. "Where is she?!" he asked in a loud, excited voice. Graham looked at Ronan, and silenced him with a finger to his lip.
"Where is she?" he asked in a quiet voice.
"She is in the hospital. Cynthia is recovering from a mental injury the phantoms gave her. She will live." the fox replied.

Sighing in relief, Ronan asked his father to go visit the hospital. With a quick nod, they both swiftly bolted out the door.

------------------------------

"Wow." you said. "I had no idea that Ronan's mother would be found. Should we follow him?"
The others only nodded. You followed him.

Cynthia was lying on a hospital bed. Large, horrifying black spikes clung to her, and looked almost as if they had impaled her. "What has happened to her?!" Graham yelled. The doctor only handed him a book. A page was open, labeled "Phantomonia (Alpha)."

"Oh dear." whispered Ronan. "No no no no no..."
Graham patted his son on the shoulder. "She'll be alright. Let's go now."
Suddenly, an announcement came on. The voice was surprisingly calm. "Attention, everybody, we have phantoms raiding the first floor of the hospital. They are slowly making their way to F2. Everybody please brace yourselves or evacuate."

Ronan looked at Graham. " Dad, we're on the third floor! We must fight the phantoms when they come. We can't let them hurt mom!"

It was a while before the phantoms actually reached the third floor. But when they came, Ronan displayed his genuine fury towards the disgusting beasts. He drew his sword and slashed the phantoms swiftly. The phantoms were too quick for Graham, though. They pinned him to the wall and injected a liquid into his arm. He fell to the floor.

"No!" Ronan cried.
P
---------------------------------

Ok, since you are Elemental Spirits, you can technically only watch for the MOST PART. Yet you HAVE to help Ronan in some way. Reading the things that spirits can or cannot do that Peck listed, try to come up with a way to help Ronan or drive off the phantoms.

And another thing. Winged-Lupuses have special senses that allow them to see and hear Spiritual Bodies, just as if they were a normal being. So, you are able to summon your Winged-Lupus.

Also, when you complete your adventure, depending on what element you choose, you get a free ability!

----
Northern Wind- A blast of icy wind put in the air in an attempt to give frostbite to the target. WARNING: if you use this move, it will effect everybody in the area, including allies (but it will not effect yourself). This ability can be unlocked by choosing the Ice element on Adventure #7.

Blazing Flesh- A move that allows the user to coat themselves in a flame. This will allow the user to inflict more damage when using physical attacks. This ability can be unlocked by choosing the Fire element on Adventure #7.

River's Tranquility- A move that allows the user to focus their mind to a point where a phantom cannot corrupt them in any way possible. This ability can be unlocked by choosing the Water element on Adventure #7.

Airblast- A move that allows the user to blast a circle of strong winds around them. The air will very quickly progress across the environment and will disappear once it has reached about 30 feet away from the user. This ability can be unlocked by choosing the Wind element on Adventure #7.

Groundbreak- A move that allows the user to make the ground underneath the enemy rumble and shake violently. The hard ground will damage the target severely depending on how hard their skin is. This ability can be unlocked by choosing the Earth element on Adventure #7.

Paralyzing Shock- A move that allows the user to shoot a spark of electricity from their paws/wings/hooves/etc at one of the target's legs. If this move hits accurately, the target's limb will become paralyzed and unable to move. This ability can be unlocked by choosing the Lightning element on Adventure #7.

  1. I give Ronan courage and swiftness. I keep his personal stamina up and block the phantom electric attacks. I also summon mine and Ronan's Winged Lupus' to help fight the phantoms.

    4. (Ooops, I meant something else)
Drastically lower the phantom stamina, so that they become weak and vulnerable.

    5. The phantom, just as it was about to shock Cynthia, lost its stamina and fell to the floor. Though, more fleets of phantoms burst through the door.

    6. Creates huge ball of electricity and sends it at the phantoms, turning them into dust.

    7. (Elemental spirits can really only control contained energy, such as those in light bulbs. Sorry XD also, which element will you choose? There are also two more elements not listed up there: earth and lightning)

The phantoms all started to swarm towards Cynthia.

    8. ( I choose fire and can I use that move as an elemental spirit? ) I look up at the light bulbs and shatter them, which sends the glass down at the phantoms and cuts ad confuses them. While they are confused, I send the Winged-Lupases down to attack the phantoms.

    9. (No, just after the adventure. It says you earn them afterwards)

The phantoms look in fear as the Winged Lupuses attack them fiercely. Some flee far, yet others stay to fight.

    10. (Ok :3) I lower all of the phantoms intelligence, so they dont know how to fight. Ronan and the Winged-Lupuses attack.

    11. The phantoms who stayed to fight die. A few manage to live, but they flee to the phantom fortress.

"Odd. It's almost as if something helped us today." Ronan said, looking around the room. Suddenly, a nurse burst into the door. "Is everyone alright?" she asked.
Ronan looked down with a worried look on his face. "Everybody's fine, but my father has been injected with a weird liquid by the phantoms. I don't know if this is bad or horrific." he said. The nurse just walked over to Graham and put him on a rolling hospital bed. She carried him to a room. But then, something happened. Ronan looked at his mother, and her black spikes were starting fade. As she opened her eyes, Ronan hugged her. Together, they checked out of the hospital and went home.

  2. I also put a electric fore-field around Graham and Cynthia

  3. (I choose Earth. o3o)
I look around the room, frantically thinking of what to do. Then I remember that Peck said that I could now control some electricity, so I flick the lights on and off until the lightbulb bursts.

    1. The phantoms look around, confused, trying to attack anything they felt in the darkness. Then again, Ronan was at a disadvantage. He was careful of what he slashed at, not wanted to hurt his father or mother.

    2. I found another lightbulb, and made sure the light only hit the phantoms, so that the phantoms couldn't see Ronan, but Ronan could see the phantoms.

    3. (Good idea XD)

The phantoms all gathered in a group, and floated forward. They reached Cynthia, but just as Ronan was about to scream "No!", another Phantomonia (Alpha) Spine ejected out of another and skewered about 4 phantoms in the group. The other backed up.

    4. I growled because I could barely help, "kicking" a phantom, even though I knew it wouldn't effect it. I called my Winged-Lupuses, and they leaped right into battle.

    5. The phantoms fiercely attacked your Winged-Lupuses, but they were obviously at a disadvantage when battling such pure beasts. Some from the group fled, but others stayed to fight.

    6. I noticed one of the phantoms heading toward Cynthia.
"Sun! Quick, get that phantom before it shocks Cynthia!" I called.

    7. The phantom was right about to shock her, when it was slammed aside by Sun. It tried to limp away, but collapsed and turned to dust on its way out. More phantoms swarmed towards Cynthia

    8. "Shine! Help Sun!" I called to Shine. I started looking around the room for what else I could do.

    9. They drove off the phantoms eventually. As one persistent phantom remained, Ronan killed it. He looked around as if looking for something that had possibly helped him win the battle...

    10. (Does that mean adventure complete, or do we continue?)

    11. Probably adventure complete.

  4. (I choose lightning)
I give Ronan courage, swiftness, and intelligence to help battle the phantoms. To make it easier to defeat the phantoms, I peered their intelligence, stamina and attack power. I also called Ronan's Winged Lupuin to help battle them. I also shielded Cynthia and Graham from danger by creating a force field.

    1. (Can't create forcefields, sorry ^-^;)

Ronan ran up to the phantoms as they started pouring through the door. He started slashing furiously, killing some of the phantoms. But there were so many phantoms.
The ones that were fighting his Winged-Lupus shocked it swiftly, but Sand was swifter. She dodged some of the attacks until finally one of the phantoms hit her right in the eye.

I quickly summon my winged lupin to also help. I flicker the light bulbs on and off, but makes sure Roman can still see. I raise Sand's stamina

    3. The Winged Lupuses both attack the phantoms and drive them off for the most part. Some phantoms still stay and attack, almost reaching Cynthia.

    4. I cry out for the Winged Lupuses to warn Roman while I send two of them to fend off the phantoms

    5. The phantoms surrounding Cynthia are soon slammed to the floor by the Winged-Lupuses. After a while, finally all the phantoms are gone.

    6. Yes!, I muttered silently, I can't wait to see the look on Roman's face when I tell him I helped him in the battle.

I raised Ronan's stamina so he did not feel the shock, and lowered the phantom's intelligence so low it thought it was a refried bean, making it an easy target, and Gem stomped on it.

    3. (You cannot stomp on stuff as a spirit, you would just go right through lol)

The phantom wandered around without anything to focus on, and Ronan stabbed his sword through its squishy skin. More phantoms rushed into the room.

Myst gasped, then called out for her winged lupin. "Please come, Comet and Mica!" And they came.
Myst did the paralyzing shock ability and directed it at a small group of phantoms closest to Graham and Ronan.

    1. (You earn the ability after you complete the adventure, sorry. "^-^)

The phantoms all tried to attack your Winged-Lupuses, instead of Ronan and Graham fro some reason. As Ronan realized that those Winged-Lupuses could not fight all those phantoms at once, he slashed at the hoard of phantoms viciously with his sword.

    2. (Oh)

"Comet! Mica! Attack the phantoms please!" Myst cawed. Myst flew over to Graham. "If any of you phantoms lay an arm on Graham or Ronan, you'll wish you never had!" Myst grabbed some boomseeds from her bag then used her birthstone neclace to make the surrondings negative. She then threw the boomseeds at the phantoms.

    3. Myst raised Ronan's and Graham's stamina. "Lets get them!!"

    4. The phantoms fell back and turned to dust. More flew your way, and Ronan stabbed some. One of the phantoms started to ferociously attack Mica.

  8. Rainbow used the power of winds to attacks phantoms rather distant from Ronan, not wishing to harm him with her wind. Ronan was being alright for now, and Rainbow gave a boost of energy to renew his strengths.
